Josh Green was initiated into the culinary arts at the ripe
age of 16. Accompanying his father, a prominent businessman in the New York
area, Josh was introduced to the world of fine dining. “I knew cooking for
people was my thing,” explains Josh. “Not only is it about the quality of the
food and the entire cooking experience, but it’s also about the interaction with
the clientele that makes it so worthwhile.”
While in New York, Green worked at several well-known restaurants
and honed his skills gaining aspiration to become a chef. Perhaps where he gained the
most valuable experience as a chef and restaurateur was at Disney World where he
interned at Cinderella’s Royal Table and was quickly promoted to lead line cook.
Taking this experience with him, Green spent additional time in New York where
he was personal chef for the renowned JSM Music Company. During this time, he
was also working as the VIP chef for a variety of celebrities and New York
socialites.
Green soon made his move to the Vegas restaurant scene, where he honed his
skills at Mandalay Bay’s Aureole, Boa Steakhouse at Caesar’s and Daniel Beloud
at the Wynn Hotel and Casino. As Green worked his way through the Vegas strip,
he continued to grow his personal chef business and is now well known among
celebrities as THE hip and trendy personal chef to have at their concerts and
events. Not only can Green prepare some of the best custom meals around, but he
is also someone who fits into the Vegas and celebrity lifestyle. And just as
importantly ---- people LIKE him! Not only do they like him, they rave about
him.
In the past few years, Green has toured with and prepared meals for celebrities
including, U2, Paul McCartney, Jimmy Buffet, the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Bon
Jovi, Mariah Carey and Damien Marley. He has also prepared meals for the
Billboard Music Awards, the Poverello House Charity Event, the Gibson Guitar
Lounge, Sundance Film Festival and the HBO Comedy Suite.
Sounds like quite the impressive resume for any accomplished chef, does it not?
And even more so for one that only a few months ago celebrated his 25th
birthday!
So that brings us to today where we can find Green at the helm of his latest
Vegas venture, Green’s Gourmet. In March 2006, Green left the restaurant scene
to take the celebrity and socialite world by storm. He creates, customizes and
prepares meals for clients on a weekly basis and prepares special event
menus in-home or at local venues.
